When using a CO2 bottle, make sure that an O-ring is attached to the bottle's nozzle.

Make sure all O-Rings are flush with the grooves that they lie in. An O-ring should not rise above the trench that it lies in.

Proper maintenance for a functional paintball marker:

After every 3 or 4 games, you have to clean your marker, or as necessary depending on usage (paint breaks). If you are not familiar with breaking down your marker, contact a dealer, or an experienced player on how to break down your marker and clean it. Using rubbing alcohol and firm brush is recommended. If you use water, make sure the parts are thoroughly dry before re-assembly.

Periodically, every month or so, we recommend you use gun oil or paintball gun oil. A company named Hoppe's No.9 produces products for gun care that apply to paintball markers. Apply the gun oil to the cocking slot onto the hammer, and put a few drops in the bottom-line before screwing the CO2 bottle in. Firing a few shots will distribute the oil to the internal parts of the marker. Do not over oil your gun because certain types of oil cause the o-rings to expand, which leads to certain problems.

Do not over tighten the Allen screws.
