I have had a little experience with this stuff.  What I usually do is stick to the outer edge of the playing field or to the tape that way the enemy can't get you from the side.  The only thing you would have to watch out for is getting stuck against the tape or the edge of the playing field.  The enemy most of the time will be watching for that but you will have to take the chance.  Sometimes they don't even know what hit them until they are out.  The time's I've played and did this little trick it worked most of the time.  The only time I really get out is if I run out of paintballs.  The only reason I run out is because I cover my buddies a lot so they will not get out.  That way they can help in the end.

What me and my buddies did a couple of times was we would send one person into the "war zone"  as we call it and while the enemy is shooting at that one person the other people would go around and sneak up on the enemy from behind.  My team mates would either take them out or make them surrender either way they are pretty much out of the game

Trick your Opponent

One way to trick your opponent is, when playing in woods, if you are being chased, or are just trying to look cool (Not the best idea); Run into some dense trees as hard as possible, as if you are trying to flank your opponent. After about 10 feet, stop, turn around, and sneak back the way you came. It will make the enemy paranoid thinking you are flanking them. They will not be watching where they saw you last. They WILL be watching where they think you will come out. they will watch for you there until, if done right, you are within killing range and have eliminated them. The enemy will never know how you managed to trick them into thinking you were somewhere completely different.

PGPing if your partner and you have someone pinned down in a bunker, and you both trust the other person. you give your gun to your partner and borrow or take a PGP from your partner unless you have one. you flank them using that.

Free elimination: all you have to do is, when out of paint, carry your gun like it's loaded. than after sneaking up on someone, ask them to surrender, Considering the fact that they can't see you have no paint, they will oblige.

When working in 3,4, or 5 man teams, it's best to advance with one person out
ahead of the remainder of the team (on "point"). This way, your team can hear
where the first shots are coming from, and you can start your flanking
movements before the other team can see where you are.
This works in defensive positions also. Having someone out ahead of your main
area will let you know which direction your opponents are coming in from.

The trick I use is to carry extra bags of paintballs (at least 5000) hanging on me. I also run behind hills and roll around and shoot while I'm rolling, because they can't hit me while I'm moving. Then since I'm fast I run away. You should also stand on your head right by a tree and shoot upside down that way if they shoot at you they aim higher for your legs and you can move your legs back and forth so they miss. You can have your team bury you in snow so only the tip of your gun is showing and then you can shoot them and they won't see you.

PS I posted this as is. As the webmaster, I have to say standing on your head is very unorthodox and dangerous, but if you as the reader want to stand on your head, its up to you, just don't come crying back here when you messed up your head/neck/etc.

1. If you run out of paint ,DONT CALL YOURSELF OUT!!!! YOU CAN DRAW FIRE
AWAY FROM TEAMMATES. When your about to get shot to pieces then surender.

2. If you feel a hit and can't see the mark, DONT CALL YOURSELF OUT... CALL A
REF OVER FOR A PAINTCHECK ON YOURSELF.  THATS ONE OF OUR JOBS ON THE FIELD.

3. IF YOUR HIT SAY IT LOUD ENOUGH FOR GOD , THE DEVIL, A REFEREE AND
ESPECIALLY THE GUY/GIRL SHOOTING YOU TO HEAR!!!!!

4. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT TIP I CAN GIVE TO ANY PLAYER OF ANY SKILL
LEVEL.......DO NOT SHOOT THE REFEREE, PAYBACKS ARE HELL!!!

5. LASTLY DONT BE INTIMIDATED BY EXP. PLAYERS WHO SHOOT A WALL OF PAINT...
ALL IT TAKES IS ONE SHOT AND THEY ARE OUT JUST LIKE ANYONE ELSE.

P.S. YOUR ONLY A NEWBIE FOR ONE DAY.... ENJOY IT !!!!!!!

People you should try this one. Sometimes it works and others it doesn't. You can only use it once then the gig is up.

What you do is when someone calls "hit" you stand up as if you were the person getting hit and and just walk to the outside of the field and when you get to someone you get close and you have two choices: you can fire or try to make him/her to surrender.

mental strategy: don't call the enemy joe or cathy or friend call them charlie. dont think of it as a game think of it as 'nam. every move could be the last. take control of your group dont take orders from an incompetant leader. dont hesitate at all except if you are alone. I suggest everyone split up with their conditional orders. have a spot to rondez-vous at at a certain time. and when being fired at dont get scared. think it out before the next move.

physical strategy: always go alone. at my house we play until everybody surrenders so make them surrender and use their bullets and gun. dont trust a partner because they dont care if you get hit and they slow you down and make twice the noise. wait for charlie to come to you. set up a trip wire in a 20 yard radius around your fortified position at the end attach it to pop cans with pennies in them. this is early detection. then use mines on the nearest path. cover yourself on all sides even the top if possible. make a hole in the bottom of your fort on each side just big enough to shoot out of and wait. when they come fire first and unmercily. when they surrender use them as a shield to walk right into the enemy base they wont shoot him. toss a couple of grenades in their base for the win. as i have found out intimidation is the best weapon rapid fire and charging make charlie wet himself. another scaring technique is a bayonette at the end of the barel but is not a smart idea.
the best weapon i have ever used is a paintball mortar system so avoid them at all costs.

When you run out of paint, don't say anything. Rather, shoot without
paint so the enemy will duck, and your teammate can advance.
If you get low on paint, another little trick can work. If only 20
rounds are left and you still have half the game, flip the gun upside down
and fire without paint. You can also just shut off the powerfeed. By doing
this, you save the paint for a more necessary time and scare your opponents.
